Americans Are Hurting Under Obamacare

‘I would like to thank the president for having our conference over to the White House yesterday. The president and his administration understand that the American people are hurting under Obamacare. They’ve been long engaged in the effort to bring relief.’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made the following remarks on the Senate floor today regarding the Senate Republican effort to repeal Obamacare:

“I want to thank the president for having our conference over to the White House yesterday. The president and his administration understand that the American people are hurting under Obamacare. They’ve been long engaged in the effort to bring relief. Nobody could have been more involved in this effort than the president, the vice president and his entire team.  Numerous phone calls, meetings—they’ve been all in, and I want the president and his entire team to know how much we appreciate their deep involvement in this and their commitment to getting an outcome.

“Now, dealing with this issue is right for the country. The fight to move beyond the status quo of Obamacare was certainly never going to be easy, but we’ve come a long way. I look forward to continuing our work together to finally bring relief.”
