McConnell: The Pain Inflicted Upon the Jewish People Can Never Be Forgotten

‘Today, the world remembers the millions of innocent men, women, and children who suffered the brutality of the Holocaust.’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement today, January 27, 2017, in observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day:

“Today, the world remembers the millions of innocent men, women, and children who suffered the brutality of the Holocaust.  The pain inflicted upon the Jewish people can never be forgotten. And so, today, we join together in recognition of the continued existence of evil in this world, and we again remember our responsibility as free people to protect and defend the innocent and the suffering.
